    Join our Trust

    Jess Mattocks
    Headteacher at St Francis

A few words from Jess following her successful appointment in her first headship:

I am proud to be Head Teacher of the founding school of The Fioretti Trust.

‘Fioretti’ means ‘little flowers’ representing each school within the Trust. Each flower is unique but is supported to grow and flourish.

Fioretti Trust recognises each school's uniqueness and provides guidance and support to allow leaders to focus upon the needs of our pupils and securing the best outcomes for them.

As the newest member of the Fioretti family, it has been reassuring to work collaboratively with colleagues across the Trust and take full advantage of the support network available, whilst also knowing that we are working to impact positively upon the lives of so many children across the city.

    Jo Booker
    Headteacher at St Mary's

Jo's thoughts on working as a leader and being part of the Fioretti Trust family:

We joined the Fioretti Trust having been a stand-alone academy for around 8 years.  As an academy already, we wanted to join a trust that would enable us to maintain our own identity. We carried out our own due diligence and this was our Trust of choice. The Trusts own values closely mirror our own. The Fioretti Trust understands that each child is a unique individual and that each school must endeavour to meet the needs of its individual pupil body and our Handsworth community. We wanted a Trust that recognised that one size does not always fit all but who could support us to become the best version of ourselves. The Fioretti Trust, we believe, offers a school family ethos where each school works in collaboration for the best for all children. Being a part of the MAT enables us to focus on school improvement and allows us to move away from the business aspects of being an Academy.

    Emma Grice
    Headteacher at St Barnabas

Emma's thoughts on working as a leader and being part of the Fioretti Trust family:

Fioretti Trust is a collaborative partnership where colleagues can share best practice, support each other and grow together. It puts the wellbeing of staff and children at the heart of all it does and really lives and breathes its values.

It allows the headteacher to focus on what has real impact on the lives of the children under their care; school development, curriculum, pedagogy, whilst taking the burden of time consuming tasks such as compliance, pensions and other administrative tasks off the to do list.
